About me

I graduated NUS with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Aero) and a Minor in Computer Science. Currently, I am working in an agile cross functional team, doing both automated regression testing and web development.

Work Experience

After graduating from university, I have picked up more web development and automated testing skills through my current job at Globalfoundries Inc. I enjoy spending time learning new things to improve the design of my software solutions.

Education

Having been an aeronautical student pursuing a minor in computer science since year 1, I have taken a great interest in the field of aviation as well as the unlimited potential that computer science can bring. My university education has been a journey of learning more about myself - as I explored courses outside of my major, such as computer science, I realised that I enjoy doing that and made a decision to steer my career in a different path.

Projects

While in university, I have embarked on various engineering projects through modules and on my student exchange programme as well.

Simulation of breathing through mask

- Project for ME2135, to simulate breathing through an Air+ SMART mask
- Using ANSYS Fluent, simulated 2D breathing with and without mask, and final 3D breathing with a mask
- Models were CAD using SolidWorks, simulations run on ANSYS Fluent using turbulence models
- Determined that using Air+ SMART mask allows for better airflow

C-Check Scheduling

- Main project during my internship at TSP Planning department for Airbus
- Generated an excel that could schedule the next check for any aircrafts within the fleet
- Given the tasks that it has already done from its previous C-check or base and line maintenance
- Modifiable by aircraft
- The picture of the excel is not shown due to confidentiality reasons.

Aircraft Conceptual Design

- Project during an Aircraft Conceptual Design module on exchange to design a middle of market aircraft
- We came up with an aircraft that satisfied all the relevant criteria
- Using BeX as well as aircraft design concepts

Simulate flow across cylinder

- Project during my Aerodynamics (Advanced Course - Masters Level) module on exchange
- Given a cylinder diameter of 0.15m simulate the flow across
- Vortex shedding can be observed
- ANSYS Fluent was used
